The Fort Reno Post Chapel was built in 1944 by the Prisoners of War that were captured in Africa during World War II and brought here to this now, historical landmark, well-hidden just west of Oklahoma City. With this historic chapel’s immaculate history, it is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places (NR70000529). Chapel Use Fee
*A non-refundable $250 deposit is required upon booking of Chapel.
*A refundable $100 cleaning deposit is also required and will be returned by mail within 5 to 10 days of expectation of post-wedding chapel.
Checks may be made out to Historic Fort Reno, Inc.
You may make your own arrangements for a horse drawn wedding carriage to transport the bride/bridesmaids from the Visitor Center to the Chapel, and for the Bride and Groom to return to the Visitor Center to change clothes for departure. We have contacts for carriage services which can be provided upon request. (Coggins Papers must be completed for any use of horses on USDA/HFR land.)
Security and Staff Fees: Historic Fort Reno and USDA Grazing Lands Research Facility is open from 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week, weddings which take place during this time will not incur extra staff fees. Evening weddings which take place between 4:30pm and 10pm will require an on-site security guard** at a cost of $25 per hour, minimum two hours. If a Historic Fort Reno staff member is required to be on site at the Visitor Center outside of operating hours then an extra $10 per hour fee may be charged.
No Alcohol of Any Type at Any Time is allowed within the boundaries of Historic Fort Reno or USDA Grazinglands Research Facility and subsequent buildings. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in a federal fine.
A USDA/Agriculture Research Service Revocable Permit will be sent to wedding party contact person and must be completed, signed and returned with the $50 deposit. There is no extra fee for the permit but failure to return one will result in wedding party being unable to use Chapel.
