Eleven year old Haylie Overholser portrays Maria Wheeler, a child who burned to death in her home on the old post. She died saving her brother’s life and was mourned by all at Fort Reno.
Haylie is also a Junior Interpreter for the Fort Reno Visitor Center and volunteers at all the “Ghosts of Fort Reno” Tours. Haylie started playing Maria Wheeler in 2005 and is a pen pal with a relative of Maria Wheeler.
